DIY: Old T-shirt to Cute Bow Shirt
For my challenge project i decided to recycle an old shirt and turned it into a beautiful casual shirt, that i can wear everyday. Many of us have a lot of old shirts sitting in the corner of our closet. A great way to use them is to make them look better so we can find them attractive again. This project is very simple but cute at the same time. I found this amazing idea on the internet and you can find a lot more.
Materials that you would need:
*An old shirt
*A pair of scissors
*Extra Pieces of fabric of your choice.
* Needle
* Thread that matches your fabric.
Directions:
First you would need a plain scoop neck T-shirt. If you don't you can always design your own by graving a pair of scissor and snip off the neck part of the T-shirt into a off shoulder design. You're shirt can be over size or fitted as you like. To create the bows that would go around the neck part grave any fabric you like, it could be fabric with stripes, dots, or different colors. Cut pieces of strip from the fabric to turn them into bow tides. Measure the fabric 5" wide but It's up to you how big you want your bows to be. Take your fabric and create two loops and tide them together then, shape them until you get your desire shape and size. Make sure all the bows are the same size. Create as many bows you want to put around your T-shirt neck and put them around the neck part to make sure you like how it looks. Then, place the bow where u like it and start hand sewing the center of the bow, all around it, creating a circle. When you're done sewing the center, sew the top corners of the bow. If the ends of the bow are frayed then fold them and sew it all around it but do not sew it into the shirt only the corners like we did on the top. Then just followed the same steps for the rest of the bows you want to put around the T-shirt neck.
